placed the largest bet in history with William Hill that
Elvis will have the 1,000th no.1 hit in the UK and were given EVENS.
The bet was a life-size Elvis Giclee Artwork. Win or lose the
artwork was going be auctioned for the Tsunami Appeal. Since
Elvis is no.1 Elvisly Yours can now collect the winningsto
be donated to theTsunami
Appeal.
William Hill have said this is a rare time in history that
bookmakers will have a smile on their face handing over winnings for
such an important Appeal.
To commemorate the 70th birthday of Elvis Presley 'Elvisly
Yours'
and the
Canadian company "Zamage Digital Art
Imaging Inc"
published four spectacular life-size artworks of the King as limited
editions of 70 of each. William Hill agreed to accept the no.1 of
theartwork entitled
"The Spirit of Elvis"as a
stake in a bet placed by Sid Shaw of Elvisly Yours that Elvis will
have the 1,000th no.1 single in UK history. A bet 6th high is
considered the largest in history.
William Hill have
valued the artwork at £1,000.00 and will pay £1,000.00 to the
Tsunami Appeal.
The
no.1 life-size artwork will be auctionedby
Cooper Owen during their Jimi Hendrix Auction on February 15th 2005
without commission with 100% of proceeds going to the Tsunami
Appeal.
We are hoping that Bill Gates, Sultan of Brunei, Robbie
Williams, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Chris Evans, Bill Clinton and Robert
Sillerman, all big Elvis fans will join in the bidding..

assisted Sid to place this "King
Sizebet
over the counter at William Hill with CEO of Zamage, Stewart
Irvine who arrived specially from Vancouver. Elvis Shmelvis sang,
‘It’s one for the
money’ as these artworks will soon become serious collectors items.
The
Spirit of Elvis
The four
artworks will be sold as limited editions of 500, size 3ft x
2ft retail £70.00 each and as lifesize
6ft high limited to 70, retail £1,000.00 each (prices plus
freight).
The images are
taken from the photo archives of Elvisly Yours and
converted onto canvas by the special Zamage process.
Skilled artists, Peter Jurik and Edward Wong of Canada have
worked weeks on the images using computer technology to
produce spectacular, highly collectable works of Giclee artworks of
the world’s greatest entertainer.
All
the above artworks will be available 6ft high, life-sizeand
3ft x 2ft
